Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of rooms and floors.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms and a medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even over thresholds that are raised without issue. However, best robot vacuum cleaner had some difficulty navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and swung up when it came to carpets or rug.
The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dust bin and refills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before needing to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how much you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dirt or dust. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combinations that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a number unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and avoids obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
The robot comes with an easy interface that guides you through the process. It comes with an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged to reach those areas the robot can't reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled as needed. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it is sometimes hung in the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary within the application). Mopping capabilities are very good and include a pair of mop pads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that run across baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble that can navigate tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It can easily move from one room to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors However, it tends to leave a large margin around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.

4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing dirt and debris, but it can't always get every last piece of dust. It's important to vacuum regularly, once a week. This is particularly important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also features a smart app that lets you set your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive, with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested that did not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising as it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested. It also utilizes a unique system to map your home this really helps it get into places that other vacuums can't reach. The device also collects dust in a larger bin that means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the expenses associated with using the device.
